Cricket Pilot 2021 – Landing April 19th

Wondering what we’ve been up to? Well, we’ve been brainstorming, honing ideas and discussing our concepts through Zoom meetings with some prominent figures at ECB, Surrey CC, Chance for Shine and local schools, determining what is achievable over the coming season. It’s been very exciting!

As we rise from the negative impacts of Covid-19, FBA are planning to support our young people get active, get back into organised team sports and support wellbeing through mentorship and fitness.

We want to bring cricket back to the community and build on the traditional village green concept, where playing is second nature and matches are a regular event, engaging not just players and their families, but inclusive events supported also by local residents, cricket enthusiasts and businesses. We totally believe that if we all work together, we can all contribute to improving our communities.

And where to start? That’d be here and now 😉 Given the unpredictability of the last year, we are just going for it! As you know, our emphasis is on inclusive accessible cricket and we are launching a Pilot for our Croydon ‘home-ground’ (see Why Croydon?).

We are launching both our in-curricular coaching and Academy training at Riddlesdown Collegiate, the largest high school in the borough on 19th April. The school offer amazing premises, providing the perfect location for indoor and outdoor training which means you can coach with us 12 months of the year!

We can’t wait! Membership is now open, with affordable payment options and coaching for all abilities from beginners to wannabe pros – we’ll support you all the way with our mentorship, coaching and pathways to your success.

Join us and support our Pilot for 2021!

We aim to:
